Rose has a broad practice with a focus on class actions, common law, coronial inquests and public law.

Rose has been recognised as a preeminent class actions junior counsel in Australia (Doyles' Guide, 2026), and as leading class actions counsel since 2025.

Matters in which Rose has particular experience and expertise include:

• personal injury class actions;
• negligence and intentional tort claims, particularly those involving government and public authorities, and medical and healthcare providers;
• coronial inquests, including as counsel assisting;
• professional negligence claims;
• sensitive proceedings involving public interest immunity, client legal privilege and suppression orders; and
• supervision order proceedings under the Serious Offenders Act 2018.

Rooke v AFL (AFL Concussion Class Action) (led by Philip Crutchfield KC, Ben Ihle KC and K Brazenor, for the AFL) — Supreme Court of Victoria class action involving claims in negligence against the AFL and Geelong Football Club in relation to concussion injuries.

Lombardo v Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery Services Pty Ltd & ors (Dr Lanzer Class Action) (led by D Bongiorno KC, for the eighth defendant) — Supreme Court of Victoria class action involving claims in negligence and under the Australian Consumer Law arising from cosmetic surgery procedures.

McNickle v Huntsman Chemical Company (Roundup Class Action) (led by Andrew Clements KC, Melanie Szydzik SC and Rebecca Howe, for the Applicant and the group) — Federal Court of Australia class action involving negligence and safety defect claims against Monsanto parties in relation to the alleged carcinogenicity of Roundup products.

Johnston v Hyundai Motor Company Australia Pty Limited / Moroney v Kia Australia Pty Limited (led by W Edwards KC and P Strickland, for the plaintiffs and groups) — Supreme Court of Victoria class actions concerning alleged defects in anti-lock braking systems.

Hussein & Ors v Triple Zero Victoria (led by Liam Brown SC with J Ryan) — Supreme Court of Victoria proceedings involving novel claim in negligence arising from delays in answering 000 calls.

Alcoa of Australia Ltd & ors v AusNet & Powercor (led by Bernie Quinn KC, Melanie Szydzik SC and T Barry, for the Alcoa parties) — Supreme Court negligence claim for economic loss arising from power outage at the Portland aluminium smelter.

Riddle, Trickey & Beyer v State of Victoria (led by Robert Heath KC and Roslyn Kaye KC, for the State of Victoria) — multiple Supreme Court proceedings involving negligence claims arising from alleged organochlorine pesticide soil contamination at secondary school.

Dani Laidley v State of Victoria (led by Sam Hay KC, for the State of Victoria) — Supreme Court of Victoria proceeding involving claims in negligence and misfeasance in public office.

Inquest into the death of Nick Panagiotopoulos (led by Roslyn Kaye KC, for Triple Zero Victoria) — coronial inquest concerning death in the context of COVID-19 000 call delays.

Before coming to the Bar, Rose was a Principal Solicitor at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office, where she had carriage of high–profile and sensitive proceedings on behalf of government clients. Before this, Rose worked in the Trials Chamber of the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and at the Center for Death Penalty Litigation in North Carolina.
